Buying an R/C (pt.2)

I am glad to hear you want to be sure about the facts before you get the R/C. your comment is "that is cool but what is the mantince it takes i want a loww one. i dont really want speed but i want durablity and low mantince? and out of couriosty in what case is gas better than eletric."

well jacob, I'll try to find a low maintnence vehicle with some speed too (without speed, it just isn't fun!). I would personally start with traxxas, or redcat racing. These companies are great at producing great trucks/cars. If you want a low mantinence truck I would suggest Traxxas, they are fast, strong, cool, and DURIBLE!\

I would suggest that you get the traxxas 1/16 models, they are small enough, not TOO big ya know! they are also light, fast and durible, just don't be an idiot, and start smashing it up as soon as you get it!

and really I coulnt tell you when gas would be better other than on road racing (fast racing like up to 70+ mph).

Buying an R/C

First of all, Thank you "jacob" for posting a comment about this, I am happy that I can finally help someone. Your comment is about... "i am thinking about buying a rc car but i want to know if i should get gas or eletric? i want one that is durable low matince and has some speed. i want it were you can pull it out from storage and do little work for it to run like new and is very durable."

First off, I think that electric is a better choice, rather than gas. Electric is usually waterproof, meaning that you can go anywhere you want to (even though I wouldn't recomend driving  it through water all the time, it could lead to future problens if you do it too much). Electric is efficient, Durable, and fast.

I would suggest that you get an off road truck. When you get an on road vehicle it is hard to convert it to off-road, So I would say get an off-road truck. I would suggest a 4WD vehicle, as they are alot better with handling and getting around. I would also suggest getting a brushless motor. Yes, they are more expensive, but brushless is more durible, it is a faster running motor, and it is more waterproof.

All in all, You would be looking between $250-$800 for a brushless off-road, truck but it varies.

Do some exploring on some R/C sites ( I would suggest Traxxas, Losi, RedCat racing, and HPI racing). Once you have looked at these sites post another comment, and I will summarize what I have wrote today.

The Traxxas Bandit.

The traxxas Bandit is an all around buggy, better suited for off road travel, but also very good on road. the Bandit is great on loose dirt, but its rear wheel drive pops the front end up more making it a very slow and difficult to turn.even though it may be tough to turn, the bandit makes it up in great speed on the straight parts of off road tracks, it traverses the terrain effeiciently, and is big enough to not be efected by little deformities, cracks, whumps, or rocks. The banit is stable, and can usualy be corrected easily in air or on the ground, and it is also fast too. The Bandit can run about 30 mph for about 25-30 minutes on a single battery. I have also used the bandit too, as my brother has it, and I drive his alot when he isnt using it. Overall I would rate the bandit a 7.5 out of 10. the traxxas 1/16 E-Revo

The E-revo is a great multi-pourpose RC truggy (truck buggy), that will pretty much go anywhere you want it to. It is great off road, and geat on road, with its wide wheel base and its small body and 4wd power it is probably better off road like the 1/16 slash. it can reach speeds of 50 mph when you connect two batteries, and it runs about 30mph on one battery. the E-Revo also makes great jumps (if you jump it high enough and hit the gas it will do a flip mid-flight), and it is especially good at making wide and tight turns. I have also has first hand experience with E-Revo, as I have with the slash, and I have used it many times on the road, and off the road on both types of macing, and screwing around, but th E-Revo belongs to my buddy, so I dont get to use it as often as my own slash. Overall I would give the E-Revo a 9/9.5 out of 10. if you would be so kind as to post a comment, I would look over it and will write another post.
